About

Imagine. Believe. Create.
Our daughter was three years old when she informed us that she had changed her name to Velociraptor. Lots of children go through periods like these and it usually passes in a day or two. For some, it may last a week or even a month.

It was different for our little girl. For years she didn’t answer to anything else. And while she always on insisted on being called Velociraptor, eventually…

Her nickname became Vallasa.

The combination of my passion for cycling and her love for velociraptors is how Vallasa.com was born. Why she was so fond of velociraptors is still a mystery, but the reason we have chosen to create a cycle lifestyle is simple. We enjoy it! We have been riding, tuning and caring for bicycles for as long as we can remember and recently fabricated a custom electric four wheeler that my daughter and I like to ride every day.
We’re locals in Boulder, Colorado and the founders of Vallasa.
The beautiful landscapes, friendly people and agreeable climate in Colorado has inspired us to move here many years ago. We have established our cycling company in Boulder and are motivated to provide the highest standards of excellence. I am grateful to have been working with the same folks for many years and I look forward to meeting you too. Perhaps enjoy a ride together some day.
Throughout the years, it’s my interest in photography and film making that has inspired me capture an extensive collection of images of my cycling journey. These are images and footage of places I’ve had the pleasure of bicycling extensively, including: Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, South Dakota, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Arizona, California and Hawaii and people I met along the way.
“My life as a cyclist began as soon as I could ride. Like many kids, it started with local rides. It was the primary mode of transportation to fishing holes and trips to the store to buy treats or to visit friends. In the early part of this millennium I took a few longer rides to camping places and even started our tree care company, bicycling to jobs with the gear in a trailer. Later, I surrendered my drivers license and was cycling exclusively. I packed out of Boulder, Colorado for my first major, long distance journey. Months passed and I found myself in the Great Northwest. After that I was hooked. I became a full-time cycle adventurer for the better part of a decade.”
See you on the Path ~
